XLH Electric Start Kits include parts pictured to fit 1967-80 XL. V-Twin Developed Starter Kits for XL in 1981.
Your existing clutch drum must have starter ring gear attached.
Side mount electric start oil tank 40-0400 must be purchased For XLH Electric Start Kits Listed, these additional parts
when fitted to 1971-80 models. Kick and electric start sprocket may be required. Note: 28-2217 is rubber strap only.
cover must be used if kick start is to be retained. Battery, top Year Battery Sprocket Sprocket Battery Top
cover and strap not included. Also available with chrome starter Side Cover Cover and
motor. Cover Chrome Polished Strap
